Room standardization delivers its ROI from consistency over time. That ROI depends entirely on making a platform commitment and maintaining it. Organizations that try to run both Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms across the same portfolio don’t get standardization benefits — they double their support burden.
Pick a platform for each room category and commit to it. For most Microsoft 365-centric organizations, Teams Rooms is the clear choice. For organizations prioritizing user simplicity and cross-platform meeting flexibility, Zoom Rooms is a strong option.
