In 1997, Barnes Design Group was first commissioned
to design a 600-seat sanctuary for Faith Alive Ministries,
whose founder and senior pastor is Mr. Bob Groves.
Since then, the church has experienced a growth
of approximately thirty percent a year and is currently
in three services every Sunday morning. The original
master plans embraced a sanctuary expansion that
would seat 1,600 with the potential to be "mirror-imaged"
into a 3,200-seat sanctuary.
The design ties the sanctuary's exterior materials
into the existing building and provides for an exciting
worship space that will truly be a beacon of light
in a dark community.
In May of 2008 Vicom was selected as the Audio,
Video and Lighting Contractor for Faith Alive Ministries
for their sanctuary expansion. The Audio system
consists of (4) Nexo Line Arrays with Dual 18"
subs, a Digdesign Digital Console, (13) 4000 watt
Yamaha Amplifiers and Aviom in ear monitor system.
The Video system is completely wired for HD/SDI
utilizing (3) JVC GYHD250CSTL17 HD Studio Cameras,
(2) Panasonic AV-HS400 HD video Switchers, (3) Draper
16ft x 9 ft rear projection screens with RPX mirror
system and (3) Sanyo PLV-WF20 6000 lumen video projectors.
The Lighting system consists of (60) ETC lighting
fixtures, (10) Ocean Optics Seachangers, (96) ETC
unison dimmer circuits, (6) Martin MAC 575 intelligent
lighting fixtures and a Jands Vista S3 lighting
console. Additionally there is an Audio recording
suite with ProTools and a Video recording suite
with Final Cut Pro.
